Los Altos, Santa Clara County
The garage where Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak assembled the first Apple computers in 1976 is at a ranch house on Crist Drive in Los Altos, now a designated historic site. The town was founded in 1906 along a new rail line and incorporated in 1952. A working apricot orchard is preserved beside city hall as a reminder of the farms that once filled the valley.
